International Year of Millets (IYM) 2023 – Focus on Indian nutri cereals-A review

The first crops to be demonstrated by the mankind, millet secure food, fodder, livelihood, nutrition, health and ecological security to them. The factors declined millet consumption in the country and the reviival of production, use and awareness of millets by the different policies that make the country the largest producer and second largest exporter of commonly known nine millets are discussed here.
